How does this work and how is being an Independent Consultant different than being a Brand Ambassador?
A lot of companies seek out “Brand Ambassadors” to promote their products, most often through social media using discount codes, etc. In return, when a customer uses that ambassador’s discount code when making a purchase on the company’s website, the ambassador receives a small commission, usually 5-15% of the sale.
When you become a STAG Independent Consultant, you aren’t simply a brand ambassador out promoting our products for a minimal return. We’re looking for individuals who want to play a real role in growing the STAG brand. In return, we offer the opportunity to earn a real income.
STAG Independent Consultants have two options for making money and may pursue one or both:
Do I have to sell products in-person?
No! You can simply sell products via your online store.
Can you tell me more about the online store option?
We understand that the majority of people have a job already and don’t have the time to go out and sell products in-person. That’s why we make it easy for those individuals to earn extra money without having to do anything more than promote their website.
When you become an Independent Consultant, you can choose for us to establish your own online store fully stocked with products. When someone places an order through your online store, it comes directly to us and we handle everything. You earn 50% of every sale and you don’t have to do a thing other than promote your website!
When you submit your Independent Consultant Application, you’ll be asked to input your desired web address — something like https://yourname.stagforhim.com. Once we’ve activated your online store, we’ll maintain all updates, product information, handle your orders, and input tracking information for your customers.

How will I know when a customer places an order through my online store?
When a customer orders something from your online store, you will be forwarded an email copy of the order. You may choose to keep this email for your records.
How and when do I get paid from my online store?
At the end of each month, you will receive a check for 50% of your total online sales for that month, minus shipping costs. Included with your payment will be a breakdown of each sale in Excel format.
*Checks are mailed to the address on your Independent Consultant Application. If you ever need to change your mailing address, simply contact us.
Since you‘re a men’s company, do any women sell STAG products?
Believe it or not, we get this question all the time from women looking for direct sales alternatives to Avon, Scentsy, etc. And, they’re always surprised when we tell them…yes, women often sell our products better than men!
We’ve found female Independent Consultants have a way of connecting with both men and other women, and when it comes to men’s grooming products, potential female customers are more likely to purchase for their significant other, dad, brother, etc., products that are recommended by another woman.
How long does the application process take?
After submitting your Independent Consultant Application, we’ll setup your reseller account and within 24 hours you’ll receive an email containing your username and a link to set your password.
(If you are a current customer, your existing account will simply be upgraded to reseller status.)
What kind of discount do resellers receive?
Independent Consultants receive a 50% discount and free shipping on all wholesale orders.
Am I required to sign any type of contract?
No. We simply require that you read and abide by the terms and conditions specified in our Reseller Agreement.
If I’m selling products in-person, how do I place orders?
You will simply log into your reseller account and place your orders on this website. You may also call 1-844-GET-STAG (438-7824) to place an order.
Is there a minimum order I have to place?
Yes. We require a $50 minimum order on wholesale purchases. Shipping is included at no additional charge.
How fast do you fill orders?
Orders are often shipped the same day, or next day at the latest. Shipping times will vary based upon your geographical location.
Do you offer some type of starter kit for new resellers?
Yes. Once logged in to our website as a reseller, you can view the various starter kits we offer to help get you up and running quickly. (Resellers are not required to purchase a starter kit.)
Do you provide any promotional materials?
Yes. Once logged in to our website as a reseller, you will see additional links where you can access marketing materials, apparel, and promotional accessories, as well as logo graphics you may download for print and digital use.
How much do I charge for products?
If you are selling products in-person, you can set your resell price at whatever you choose. However, we recommend setting your price point at or around the same retail price we do.
*Retail prices on your e-commerce store will be identical to the retail prices found on our website. We recommend taking this into account if you are selling products in-person and through your online store. Customers may get upset if you are charging $20 for a bottle of beard oil in-person, but they can buy it for $15 on your website.
If I’m selling products in-person, where do I sell them?
That is entirely up to you! In addition to selling to family and friends as a revenue stream, there are all sorts of public venues where you can sell products. These include trade shows, gun shows, craft shows, fairs, state and local events, farmer’s markets, and other public venues. We encourage you to get creative!

Do I need any type of reseller permit?
Please check your respective state and local laws to determine if and what type of sales permit and/or tax certificate you may need to sell/resell products.
What are your best-selling products and scents?
This is a complicated question to answer, because many factors go into which products sell the most, where, and when. All of our products are great sellers. The most commonly-known beard care products are beard oil and beard balm, but our beard butter is also a top-seller, as is our beard wash and growth supplement. As for our shaving products, customers most-commonly buy these items in a 3-piece set that includes a pre-shave oil, shaving cream, and after-shave lotion. However, they are sold separately just as often. Remember that your location, price point, and potential customer base will determine which types of products and/or scents sell the best. Some customers prefer more-traditional scents, like saw mill, barber shop, and tobacco leaf, while other customers prefer cologne-type scents like log cabin, night owl, and gun powder. But again, this can vary. We suggest figuring out which products and scents work best for you and your potential customer base.
